Fertil Skin
As a Fertility Specialist, trained at Duke and Stanford Universities, I have made it the focus of my career to assist people in their dream of having a child. Part of that mission is not only to treat their problem, but also to look at the bigger picture and ask the question, "Why are there so many infertile people in this country and why is it getting worse?" After I asked myself that question many times, I started searching for causes and one commonality I saw in my most difficult patients was a high use of skincare products.
After much research on this topic, I found there are many chemicals in both synthetic and "all natural" skin products that affect fertility. These compounds, such as parabens and vitamin A, are toxic to embryos, prevent pregnancy, and disrupt the natural hormone cycle of the body. It is my hypothesis that the increased incidence of infertility seen nationwide is partly due to the chronic application and absorption of toxic substances on our skin. As a result, I decided to formulate my own line of skincare products that are free of toxic compounds that would negatively impact a person's fertility while also containing a high amount of antioxidants which help to decrease the decline in female fertility and may actually augment male fertility.
This new, organic skincare line is appropriately named Fertil Skin.
