The FSH levels goes up as a woman ages. An FSH less than 5 is considered "good" and an FSH over 10 shows poor ovarian reserve and a low chance of getting pregnant with a woman's own eggs. A typical woman should not have an FSH of 10 before age 38. I am now seeing patients less than 28 with an FSH over 15. It is very alarming.
Overall, hopefully with all the information that has been provided, it will help increase awareness that the environmental experiences a person's body undergoes during their life, has a great impact on their chances of conceiving, especially at later ages. Even though some of the damage cannot be undone, it is important to stop any more damage from occurring.
